PubTracker
Part of the module Distributed and Mobile Computing
of the Computing
course at the ITT Dublin was the creation of a made-up mobile web application.
I created PubTracker.
PubTracker is a mobile web application which facilitates spontaneous meetings of friends in the evening by allowing them to exchange their current location, i.e. the pub they are currently in.
The application was built upon open-source software, follows standards and
best practices and honours the limitations of low-end mobile clients while
delivering a good user experience.
It was graded by lecturer David White with the highest mark. A while ago, I
released it under MIT license on
GitHub.
