Short Pay Report Validator

A manufacturer based in Germany sells products to US customers with help of a local distributor. High revenue customers are granted volume discounts by the distributor. However, there has to be an agreement with the manufacturer which customers are granted which rebate rate.

The distributor short pays the invoice by the granted rebates and sends a monthly report. These reports are fairly large and it is tedious work to validate them manually against the agreements. Thus, validation seldomly takes place.

I created a web application which automatically matches the report against a database of agreements. Due to the web-based nature of the tool, US personnel and German management have access to the validation results and list of agreements.
